Former Congress Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Ali Mohammad Bhat died in a hospital after a brief illness.

He breathed his last in S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).

Meanwhile, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Friday expressed deep shock and grief over the passing away of Bhat, Ex MLC and Senior Congress Leader and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.

PCC chief G A Mir in a condolence message expressed profound grief over the passing away  Mir.  

Mir said Bhat was  a freedom Fighter. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.

Meanwhile Former PCC President Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din have condoled the demise of Bhat Wakura and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.

 Apni Party (JKAP) senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir on Friday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of  Bhat Congress senior leader and former legislator who passed away after a brief spell of illness at SKIMS Soura.

 In a statement issued here, Mir described the demise of Bhat as an irreparable loss not only for his bereaved family, friends and acquaintances but for the vast circle, he had, in a cross section of the society.

 Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Mir prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to his near and dear ones to bear this irretrievable loss.
